Sindi Lee, a mother of four, knows all too well what it’s like to almost lose a child. Twice in her life, two of her four children have faced life-threatening emergencies and needed critical emergency care.

It was just after Clara Bea’s first birthday. As Clara’s mom, Amanda, was making dinner, she turned around to check on her daughter and quickly noticed she was blue.

In the middle of the pandemic, Briannarose began experiencing many different symptoms that mirrored COVID-19 – including fever, body aches and simply feeling unwell. When the symptoms did not subside Jennastar, Briannarose’s mom, took her to their local hospital in Edmundston, New Brunswick.

Baby Liam is what we call a heart warrior at the IWK Foundation. Before Liam was born the doctors noticed some abnormalities with his heart during a routine ultrasound.

In June 2020, Whitney and Matthew Reid along with their daughter Julie took the big leap of faith to move across the country from Saskatchewan all the way to Truro, Nova Scotia to take up their responsibilities as the Salvation Army Ministers in their community. Whitney was also expecting twins.
