TD Bank Group (TD) has been a longstanding member of the Children’s Miracle Network and a tremendous supporter of the IWK Foundation, making their first donation 32 years ago in 1990. TD is also one of the biggest national supporting children’s hospitals across Canada.
TD recently reached an incredible milestone: Last year, they reached the $5M mark of giving history to the IWK. These funds have supported the most urgent patient care needs at IWK Health. They are also celebrating reaching the $100M mark on giving at a national level through their partnership with Canada's Children's Hospital Foundations (CCHF).
The TD team has been a long-time volunteer for the IWK Foundation’s signature fundraising event, the IWK Telethon, lending both their time and their passion for the IWK through volunteering on the Telethon’s planning committee and answering phone calls during the annual broadcast. The IWK Foundation is extremely fortunate to have Ms. Jennifer Auld, Vice President of TD Canada Trust in the Atlantic Region, as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
“At TD, giving back to the communities where we live and work is such an important part of who we are, as we continue to strive to help people participate and feel included in their communities," says Jennifer Auld, Vice President of TD Canada Trust in the Atlantic Region and Member of the IWK Foundation Board of Trustees. "Our commitment to community service has supported the IWK in Atlantic Canada for over three decades. Through the generosity of our customers, partners and team members, we are proud to be a part of ensuring Maritime families continue to receive the very best care in the Maritimes.”
TD has been committed to enriching the lives of customers, colleagues and communities, and this includes an investment in the health of children and adolescents across Canada. In 2020, TD pledged $15M over 10 years to CCHF to improve adolescent health over the six priorities as identified by CCHF; Mental Health, Relationships with Food, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender Identity, Chronic Conditions and Transitions to Adult Care. This commitment will help adolescents have greater and more timely access to the care they need – no matter where they are in the country.
