In 2013, Chloe wasn't feeling well. Her mother took her to their local hospital for a check-up. Unable to determine the cause of her illness, the then four-year-old Chloe was sent to the IWK. Several tests confirmed her parents' worst fears - Chloe had cancer.

For most people, eating a meal does not begin with math. However this is the reality for 11-year-old Hallie from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Hallie has Type 1 Diabetes and has to carefully manage her blood sugar with the help of an insulin pump.

Hannah has a very special connection to the IWK. Her little brother, Quinn, had open-heart surgery shortly after he was born. During Quinn's stay, Hannah developed a keen interest in the IWK and a deep appreciation for how they "healed" her brother. She decided she wanted to give back.
